Designed to explore the length and breadth knowledge through various traditional academic subjects and for the physical, emotional, intellectual and ethical growth of learners, the IBDP provides a holistic learning experience with flexible options to accommodate each and every individual’s goals and strengths – in terms of academics as well as personal development. Offered to learners aged 16 – 19, through the programme, they acquire a skill set that is indispensable – thinking, social, research, self-management and communication. In addition, it is recognized and respected by the world’s leading universities including those in India.
Any learner opting for the IBDP (regular) is expected to choose 3 subjects at standard level (SL) and three at higher level (HL). One subject from each group is mandatory and the sixth subject can be chosen from either group III or group IV.

Apart from these six subjects, learners also have to do the core subjects namely CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service), ToK (Theory of knowledge) and EE (Extended Essay). CAS aims at personal and social development, ToK at reflecting on construction and acquisition of knowledge and EE at conducting independent research that widens a learner’s educational experience. IB conducts both external and internal assessments in various forms depending on the requirements of the subjects chosen.
