Club & Socities
There is a lot more than academics that make a child well-rounded personality. To bring out the
innate talents of a child and develop her talents, MIS has a host of clubs. These clubs cater
to varied interests like public speaking and debating, writing, event management, editing and
journalism, photo journalism and scientific skills.
THE LINCOLN DEBATING SOCIETY:
This club helps the children hone and develop the art of public speaking by taking
part in numerous inter-school debating competitions at local and national levels.
The club also organises and conducts debates, elocution and declamation contests.
The students constitute the office bearers who train and organise the other members
of the club. They have been successful in winning trophies and prizes and have proved
themselves to be a force to reckon with when it comes to public speaking and debating.
THE MIS NEWS NETWORK (MNN):
The school is kept updated with the latest news through the weekly news edition
every Friday morning. This covers sections and segments like headlines of the week,
hot news, international, national, local, business news, sports and games, birthday
greetings, and weather updates. The students constitute the office bearers, correspondents,
DTPs, photo journalists and news readers. The work of compiling, editing and setting
of the news as well as news reading is carried out by the members supervised by
the office bearers.
THE HORIZON – A QUARTERLY NEWS LETTER:
This club brings out the quarterly newsletter which publishes reports of all the
activities and leading events that take place during the course of the period. It
also encourages students to contribute articles providing them with a platform to
express their views, write poems, short stories or articles of interest. The students
constitute the office bearers of Chief Editor, Co-chief Editor, DTPs and other members
who are allotted portfolios of Assistant Editors for Cultural Activities, Sports
and Games, Literary Events and Competitions, Scoops and Wanderers, Critic of the
Month and General Affairs.
The students’ wing of the Rotary International works towards social causes and spreads awareness amongst the student community about burning issues in the social scenario.
This club motivates the budding Ronaldoes and Messis, albeit of the fairer gender and gives them a chance to prove their dribbling prowess on the field.
SCULPTURE & POTTERY CLUB
The highly talented Art faculty moulds the creative minds of the MIStars as they encourage the tender hands to work skillfully on the potter’s clay and help them to carve a niche for themselves.
SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY
The wonders of the scientific world take a new dimension as the windows of technology , inventions and innovations are opened up in front of the impressionable young minds.
The world of animations, the wonders of communication and the horizons beyond: all get a new meaning as the students get an insight into the world of today.
The enthusiastic persona of the MIstars venture out beyond classroom courses to explore the world of adventure sports: rappling, trekking , the Burma bridge …

THEATRE CLUB (HINDI & ENGLISH)
